After electricty and petrol, govt increases LPG prices

ISLAMABAD: The country-wide protests against hike in electricity prices had not subsided yet, when the government jacked up petrol prices on September 1. But it looks like that was not the end. The caretaker government has increased the rates of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs39 adding to the hardships of common man.
With this increase, the new price of LPG stands at Rs240 per kg.
As per notification issued by Ogra, the refuelling of a domestic cylinder of 11.8kg will now cost Rs459.85 more, after which its price stands at Rs 2,833.
Earlier, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had increased LPG prices vby Rs23 per kilogram for the month of August 2023.
