After four long years, Nawaz Sharif addressing Lahore jalsa at Minar-e-Pakistan

LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif who returned to the country after four years on Saturday is addressing a gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore.

Nawaz while addressing the rally said that his connection with the nation remains unchanged from the time he departed the country.

Lost my wife to politics

He said that he lost his wife Kulsoom Nawaz to politics. He further brought up the loss of his mother and wife during the period when he was entangled in legal disputes

Cheap electricity:

He further said that he provided cheap electricity to the people of Pakistan.

Made Pakistan a nuclear power

The PML-N supremo said that he made Pakistan a nuclear power and took the credit for ending load shedding from the country.

Inflation:

He also mentioned that during his time in office, a roti was priced at Rs4, whereas now it is being sold for Rs20. He also promised to revitalise Pakistan’s economy.

Nawaz returns to homeland

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has made a return to Lahore after four years of travelling from Islamabad. Upon landing at the airport, he proceeded to Minar-e-Pakistan by helicopter.

A chartered plane carried Nawaz, along with party supporters, leaders, and journalists, from Islamabad to Lahore.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, along with other party leaders, including Hamza Shehbaz and Rana Sanaullah, welcomed his brother at the Lahore Fort. This event marks an important political moment with Nawaz Sharif’s return to the city and his planned rally at Minar-e-Pakistan.
