Air Chief Marshal Zahir Ahmed Babar Sidhu concludes official visit to Saudi Arabia

WEB DESK: Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Air Chief Marshal Zahir Ahmed Babar Sidhu, completed an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aimed at strengthening bilateral defense ties, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement.
Upon arrival, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour. The key engagement of the visit was a high-level meeting with Lieutenant General Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF).
The meeting between the two air force chiefs was marked by discussions on the regional security situation and the enhancement of existing bilateral defense cooperation. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of collaboration between the two air forces.
A key outcome of the talks was the mutual agreement to increase joint training exercises, operational cooperation, and the exchange of professional expertise. The Saudi leadership reaffirmed its interest in expanding collaborative training programs and deepening defense partnerships.
During the discussions, the Saudi side commended Pakistan’s pivotal role in promoting regional peace and stability. The Pak-Saudi defense relationship was described as a symbol of enduring trust and fraternal bonds.
The visit is seen as a significant step that highlights the depth of the strategic partnership between the two nations and reflects a shared commitment to further solidify cooperation, particularly in the defense and aviation sectors.
