ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has escalated its scrutiny of Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, by serving her another notice.
This time, the focus is on allegations of conspiring to sow discord between the public and the army.
Aleema Khan has been summoned by FIA’s Counter Terrorism Wing (CTW) for questioning on February 6 at 11 am.
The notice, issued under Section 160 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) for Inquiry No. 4/24, accuses her of disseminating hate material through electronic and print media with the intent to create divisions.

Failure to comply with the summons could result in legal action, as indicated in the notice sent to Aleema Khan’s residence address in Lahore.
In a separate development, Aleema Khan has also been called in by the FIA Cyber Crime Wing for allegedly spreading “fear and panic” in society. The inquiry, initiated by the state, underscores the seriousness of the allegations.
She has been directed to appear at the FIA Cybercrime Reporting Centre on Saturday at 11 am to provide clarification. Non-appearance will be construed as an absence of statements in her defense, potentially leading to further consequences.
