Sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, Aleema Khanhas dismissed social media reports claiming that a former army chief met the former prime minister in Adiala Jail, calling the information completely false and misleading.

In a post shared on social media platform X, she said the claims had been verified with PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, who also confirmed that no such meeting took place.

Aleema Khan alleged that the circulation of such reports was part of a disinformation campaign aimed at diverting attention from what she described as the “total isolation” of Imran Khan in custody.

She further claimed that the PTI founder is being denied several basic rights, including access to proper medical treatment for an eye condition in a hospital, contact with his sons, and reading material such as books for the past six months. She also said he has not been provided a television and has had no contact with the outside world during this period, except for two lawyer visits allowed by court orders.

Aleema Khan noted that a full bench of the court has issued orders permitting regular visitation rights, including six family members and six lawyers on Tuesdays, and six party members on Thursdays, amounting to at least 18 visitors per week.

She maintained that all such rights are guaranteed under Pakistan’s legal framework as well as international law, and urged authorities to ensure compliance with court directives.
