WEB DESK: Ali Zafar has sent an inspiring message to Captain Babar Azam and the entire Pakistan cricket team as they gear up for the highly anticipated clash against India today at Nassau County International Stadium in New York.
Zafar, in an Instagram video message addressing Babar Azam, emphasized the essence of sportsmanship, stating, “In a match, victory or defeat is part and parcel of the game. However, in the match against USA, it was perplexing to witness that during the Super Over, Babar Azam did not step up for batting himself but instead sent other players. This decision leaves us puzzled.”

He further added that a leader possesses the quality of fearlessness and self-confidence. Ali Zafar, drawing parallels with former captain Imran Khan, recalled an instance from the past where, in a crucial match against Australia, Pakistan needed just 4 runs in the final over to secure victory. Despite the opposing team’s advantage, Imran Khan stepped onto the field himself to bowl during that challenging moment.
Instead, Pakistan will take to the field with a strong contingent of four fast bowlers. Mohammad Amir, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah are set to lead the pace attack, sources revealed.
This strategic decision came after a thorough practice session, with head coach Gary Kirsten inspecting the pitch at Nassau County Cricket Stadium to finalise the team composition.
