ANF seizes 81kg drugs, arrests 11 in six countrywide operations

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 81 kilograms of narcotics, and arrested 11 drug pushers during six operations conducted across the country.

A spokesman of ANF Headquarters said on Monday that 44 grams weed was recovered from two parcels sent from the UK at the courier office in Rawalpindi.

During search of a vehicle near M-1 Motorway Islamabad, 30 kg hashish was recovered and four suspects were arrested.

Near Kakpul area of Islamabad, 20.4 kg hashish was recovered from a vehicle while an accused was arrested.

In an operation in Tera Zakhakhel area of district Khyber, 17 kg hashish was recovered.

Four accused including a woman were detained, after recovery of 8.4 kg hashish from a vehicle in Chishtiabad, Islamabad.

During search of a suspected vehicle near GT Road Peshawar, 4.8 kg hashish was recovered and two suspects were arrested.

Separate cases under Anti-Narcotics Act were registered and further investigations were under process.
