Another cylinder explodes in Islamabad; roof collapses, five injured

ISLAMABAD: An explosion caused by a gas leak damaged a house in Islamabad’s Shams Colony area on Thursday morning, injuring five people, according to emergency officials.

The blast occurred within the limits of Shams Colony police station, causing the walls and roof of the house to collapse. Capital Emergency Service officials said the injured include one man, two women and two children.

Two of the injured sustained minor injuries, while three were shifted to hospital for treatment. Emergency teams responded promptly and secured the area.

Authorities are investigating the incident, while residents have been advised to take precautions against gas leakages.
