Army chief to host Olympian Arshad Nadeem tomorrow

RAWALPINDI: Army Chief Gen Asim Munir will host star athlete Arshad Nadeem tomorrow, Friday at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

A ceremony to honour Arshad Nadeem and his family will take place tomorrow at GHQ. The purpose of the ceremony is to acknowledge and encourage the achievements of Gold Medalist Arshad Nadeem.

 In a bid to pay tribute to world record holder Arshad Nadeem, who brought immense pride to Pakistan with his historic achievements, a busy road in Islamabad (Margalla Road) is being renamed after him.

According to details, a major road in Islamabad’s F-10 sector (From F-10 roundabout to Khayaban-e-Iqbal) also known as Margalla road will be renamed in honour of Arshad Nadeem – the Olympic hero on the directives of the Prime Minister.
