Army successfully rescues stranded citizens, school children in Swat

				        SWAT: The Pakistan Army carried out a rescue operation in flood-affected areas of Swat, evacuating residents, including schoolchildren, to safe locations.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), army personnel moved affected people from inundated areas and transported them to safer ground. In one video from the operation, a soldier is seen carrying a schoolchild on his back while wading through floodwaters.

The Army said that its troops remain available to assist civilians during natural disasters, and that similar operations will continue in coordination with local authorities to ensure the safety of residents in flood-hit areas.
In every hour of difficulty, the soldiers of the Pakistan Army set high examples of humanitarian service, ISPR statement said, adding that thousands of lives are saved thanks to the professionalism and spirit of sacrifice of the Pakistan Army.

KP GOVT DEPLOYS HEICOPTERS
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has dispatched a helicopter to assist with relief operations in Buner district, where heavy monsoon rains caused severe flooding and trapped residents on rooftops.
The helicopter’s mission is to evacuate those stranded and deliver essential aid to the flood-affected population.

Authorities confirmed that the death toll in Buner rose to 5 as floodwaters continue to threaten lives and property. The district administration mobilised rescue teams and set up control rooms to coordinate relief activities and monitor the evolving closely.
RAINS, FLOODS CONTINUE TO HIKE DEATH TOLL
The latest spell of torrential rains, cloudbursts, flash floods, and roof collapses have killed at least 43 people and injured 14 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to official figures.
Among the dead are eight children and two women. District administration and Rescue 1122 officials said most casualties were reported from Bajaur, Battagram, Lower Dir, and Mansehra.
