RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army on Wednesday expressed grave concern over “irresponsible and provocative statements” from the Indian civil and military leadership, warning that any aggression from New Delhi would be met with a “swift and decisive response.”
Chaired by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir chaired the 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
The forum said that such rhetoric from India reflected its “propensity for whipping up war hysteria for political benefits,” cautioning that warmongering would only heighten regional tensions and endanger peace and security.

Reaffirming operational readiness, the participants pledged to “shatter any perceived notion of India’s relative safety accruing from geography,” asserting that any “imaginary new normal will be met with a new normal of swift retributive response.”

The meeting began with Fateha for the martyrs of recent terrorist attacks “orchestrated by Indian terror proxies.”
The COAS commended the spirit, resolve and determination of the Pakistan Armed Forces in their fight against “foreign-sponsored terror” and in conducting extensive relief and rescue operations following recent floods, alongside civil administration and other law enforcement agencies.

It also noted the “nexus between terror and crime with vested political patronage” and resolved that such elements “hurting the interests of the state and the security of its people” would not be allowed to continue.
The forum welcomed Pakistan’s recent high-level diplomatic engagements and reaffirmed the commitment to global and regional peace.
It lauded the landmark Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, calling it a step toward strengthening strategic relations and enhancing cooperation for a joint response to any external aggression.
Reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions, the Forum also reaffirmed solidarity with Palestinians, calling for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian aid to Gaza.
It reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance on the two-state solution, with a sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
In his closing remarks, the COAS directed commanders to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline, physical fitness, innovation, and responsiveness, expressing full confidence in the army’s preparedness to counter threats across conventional, sub-conventional, hybrid, and asymmetric domains.
