Army’s stance on May 9 events has not changed: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry while addressing press conference on Monday said that Army’s stance on violent events of May 9 has not been changed.
While briefing about country’s security situationa at Rawalpindi’s General Headquarters (GHQ) provided details about anti-terrorism operations.
“The security forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) conducted 23,622 small and large-scale intelligence-based operations in the country”, he said.

While talking about the ongoing protests in Balochistan, ISPR said that the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) is a proxy and that they spread discord in the country through foreign funding
Continuing on the military’s role in the education sector, the army spokesperson described it as a crucial component of national development.
