Arsenal top Premier League standings with 56 points, where Man City, others rank?

LONDON: Arsenal remain at the top of the Premier League table with 56 points after 25 matches, edging defending champions Manchester City on goal difference in what is shaping up to be a thrilling title race.

The Gunners have registered 17 wins, five draws and only three defeats so far this season. With 51 goals scored and just 22 conceded, Mikel Arteta’s side have combined attacking efficiency with defensive solidity to maintain their position at the summit.

However, their lead is far from secure.

Manchester City in the PL standings are level on 56 points, also with 17 victories from 25 games. Pep Guardiola’s men have once again demonstrated consistency and resilience, scoring 51 goals and conceding 24. With their experience in high-pressure title run-ins, City remain a serious threat as the season enters its decisive phase.

Aston Villa Strengthen Top-Four Push

Aston Villa sit third with 47 points, nine behind the leaders. Villa have enjoyed an impressive campaign, winning 14 matches and losing just six. Their strong form has firmly placed them in contention for Champions League qualification.

Manchester United occupy fourth place with 45 points from 26 matches. Despite holding a top-four position, United’s goal difference of zero highlights inconsistency, with 37 goals scored and 37 conceded.

Chelsea are close behind in fifth with 44 points, keeping pressure on United. Liverpool, currently sixth with 39 points, remain within touching distance of the European spots but will need greater consistency to climb higher.

Mid-table battle remains tight

The race for European qualification extends into mid-table, where Brentford (39 points), Newcastle (38), Everton (37), and Bournemouth (37) are separated by just two points. With more than a third of the season remaining, a strong run of form could significantly alter the standings.

Relegation fight intensifies

At the bottom of the table, the battle for survival is equally competitive.

West Ham and Burnley occupy 18th and 19th positions respectively, both on 24 points. Defensive struggles have contributed heavily to their predicament. Wolves remain at the foot of the table with just eight points from 25 matches, facing an uphill task to avoid relegation.

Just above the relegation zone, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham are level on 28 points, while Leeds United (30), Brighton (31) and Crystal Palace (31) are not yet mathematically safe.

Season approaching crucial stage

With approximately 13 matches remaining for most teams, the Premier League season is entering a critical stage. Arsenal currently lead the way, but Manchester City are firmly in pursuit. Meanwhile, the race for Champions League qualification and the battle to avoid relegation promise continued drama in the weeks ahead.

The competition remains wide open at both ends of the table, setting up what could be one of the most compelling finishes in recent Premier League history.
