ISLAMABAD: At least 684 terrorists were killed and more than 912 others injured during Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The ministry said the operation targeted militant infrastructure and hideouts linked to groups operating against Pakistan. A total of 252 militant posts were destroyed, while 44 additional posts were captured and later demolished during the operation.

According to the statement, 229 tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery pieces used by militants were also destroyed, significantly weakening their operational capability.

Authorities said 73 terrorist hideouts across Afghanistan were effectively targeted during the operation. The strikes were carried out on the night of March 14 and 15, targeting locations linked to the Afghan Taliban and militants referred to by Pakistan as Fitna al-Khawarij.

The ministry added that Pakistani forces also destroyed military installations and secret hideouts used by militants during the operation.

In Kandahar, technical support infrastructure allegedly used for terrorist activities was destroyed, along with a stockpile of equipment used by militants. A tunnel containing technical devices was also destroyed in the area.

Meanwhile, in the Chitral sector, the jump-off point used by militants at Badrini Post was destroyed.

The ministry maintained that Pakistan only targeted facilities and camps supporting terrorist activities, adding that no civilian population or civil infrastructure was targeted during the operation.

It also rejected claims by Afghan authorities and some media outlets that civilian areas were hit, describing the allegations as false and misleading.
