At least two policemen injured in a grenade attack on police station


Two policemen injured as unknown assailants attacked a police station in DI Khan with hand grenade

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: At least two policemen were injured in the aftermath of a grenade attack when unknown assailants targeted a police station in Dera Ismail Khan last on Friday.

According to the police, unidentified assailants threw a hand grenade inside the police station while a motorcycle. They were able to flee the scene amid the chaos among officers present inside the station.

As of now, no individual or group claimed responsibility for the attack.

In response to the incident, a search operation was launched by the local police to apprehend the attackers. Likewise, a thorough investigation is also underway.

On February 5, an unknown assailant threw a hand grenade at the election camp of the Pakistan People’s Party. No casualties were reported in the explosion.

As per police reports, the attackers managed to slip away despite guards on duty firing in their direction.

Similarly, a blast ripped through a government school in Barkhan district of Balochistan on February 1. As per the police, a polling station was set up for general election held on February 8.

As unidentified motorcyclist threw a hand grenade inside the school while fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.
