The Pakistan Cricket Board (Pakistan Cricket Board) announced on Thursday that the Australia men’s cricket team will tour Pakistan for a three-match One Day International (ODI) series later this month.

According to the official schedule, the Australian squad is set to arrive in Islamabad on May 23 ahead of the opening match of the series.

The first ODI will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on May 30, with all matches scheduled to begin at 4:30pm local time. The toss for each game will take place at 4:00pm.

The remaining two fixtures will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on June 2 and June 4 respectively, completing the short bilateral series.

The PCB noted that this will be Australia’s first ODI tour of Pakistan since 2022, marking another step in the resumption of regular international cricket tours to the country.

Australia had previously toured Pakistan earlier in the year for a three-match T20 International series, where the home side secured a clean sweep victory at Gaddafi Stadium. The two teams have also faced each other in recent ICC tournaments hosted in Pakistan.

In the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Australia featured in matches held in Pakistan, including a notable five-wicket win against England in Lahore, highlighting the team’s continued participation in major events staged in the country.

Cricket officials expect the upcoming ODI series to draw strong fan interest, with Pakistan aiming to build on recent home successes while Australia looks to strengthen preparations for future international competitions.

The series is also seen as part of ongoing efforts to restore Pakistan’s status as a regular host of major international cricket tours, following years of limited home fixtures due to security concerns in the past.
