MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Kashmir Police have sealed the central office of the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) as part of an ongoing crackdown against elements allegedly involved in anti-state activities.

According to officials, the action was taken by the administration and police following reports of disruptive activities linked to the group.

During the raid and search operation, law enforcement personnel reportedly recovered a machine gun, a rifle, and a pistol from the premises.

Authorities said the operation was carried out despite the presence of people outside the office, however no protest was reported at the scene.

Officials and experts stated that the recovery of weapons under the guise of “rights activism” indicates an intent to spread unrest.

They added that such actions are necessary to maintain law and order and ensure public safety across the region.
