LEEDS: A video of wicketkeeper batter Azam Khan has gone viral on social media in which he can be seen weeping his sweat with dollars, with people criticising him for the act. Pakistan cricket team captain’s voice can be heard in the background.

The footage shows Azam wiping his sweat with dollars, a clip initially shared on Babar Azam’s Snapchat account, leading to criticism of Babar and other team members.

The Pakistan cricket team on Sunday arrived in England, for a crucial four-match T20I series against the hosts starting on Wednesday. This series is vital for both teams as they prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

Azam Khan’s Cricket Journey

Azam Khan was a standout performer in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), having played in 53 matches and scoring a total of 1138 runs with an average of 23. As the wicketkeeper for Islamabad United, he set a new record in the 2024 season with the highest number of dismissals (10) by a wicketkeeper.
On the international stage, Azam debuted in 2021 against England, primarily playing in T20 matches.
