Azhar Mahmood named head coach for series against NZ

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the team management lineup for the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand, appointing former pacer Azhar Mahmood as the head coach.
Scheduled to take place in Rawalpindi and Lahore from April 18 to April 27, these matches mark a significant event in Pakistan’s cricket calendar.
With a distinguished career spanning 164 internationals, Azhar Mahmood has amassed 162 wickets and scored 2,421 runs for Pakistan. Notably, Azhar previously served as the bowling coach for the Pakistan men’s cricket team from 2016 to 2019.
In addition to Azhar’s appointment, Wahab Riaz will take on the role of senior team manager, while Mohammad Yousuf assumes the position of batting coach. Saeed Ajmal, who previously served as the bowling coach during tours of Australia and New Zealand, will retain his position as the spin bowling coach.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand will be unveiled on Tuesday, April 9th, at 12:45 in the media conference room at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Following the announcement, the selected players will gather in Islamabad on April 14th to prepare for the series against New Zealand.
