Babar Azam becomes fifth Pakistani batter to score 15,000 International runs
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s top-order star Babar Azam has achieved a remarkable milestone, becoming the fifth Pakistani batter to score 15,000 runs in international cricket. He reached this mark following his composed 27-run innings in the third and final One Day International (ODI) against South Africa.
Babar Azam has achieved this milestone across all three formats—Tests, T20Is, and ODIs—amassing 31 centuries and 104 half-centuries in his international career. He has scored 4,366 runs in Tests, 4,302 runs in T20Is, and 6,330 runs in ODIs, according to the ICC batting index.
The four other Pakistani legends who occupy the top spots are Inzamam-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, and Javed Miandad. Inzamam leads with 20,541 runs, followed by Younis Khan with 17,790, Mohammad Yousuf with 17,134, and Javed Miandad with 16,213 runs.
