BABAR SURPASSES KOHLI ON YET ANOTHER LIST

Babar Azam has already overtaken Kohli in another major statistic: the record for most scores of 50 or more in T20 Internationals.

Kohli has passed the 50-run mark 39 times, with one century and 38 fifties, whereas Babar has now done so 41 times, including three centuries and 38 fifties.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCE AGAINST ZIMBABWE

Babar’s innings on Sunday was more than just a record-equaling effort. The right-hander produced a commanding 74 off 52 balls, smashing seven fours and two sixes. His performance proved crucial in securing Pakistan’s victory, further highlighting his consistency and leadership at the top of the order.

The landmark knock also marks the second time in two days that Babar has overtaken or matched records held by leading Indian batters, reinforcing his status as one of modern cricket’s most prolific run-scorers.

With Pakistan preparing for the remainder of the tri-series, Babar’s form continues to be a major boost for the team, and his pursuit of further records remains a storyline fans around the world will be watching closely. Who knows, in the remainder of the tournament Babar ends up taking the lead in 50s after all?
