QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has announced the successful completion of a transparent and merit-based recruitment process for 111 posts in the Finance Department, calling it a historic step toward ending corruption and restoring public trust in government hiring.
Addressing the occasion, the chief minister said the recruitment process was conducted in a transparent manner and earned the confidence of the public. He noted that even unsuccessful candidates acknowledged the fairness of the system, which he described as proof that merit is now being upheld in Balochistan. “Every youth of Balochistan will be given their due right,” he said, reaffirming his commitment to fair governance.
Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that the culture of recommendations and bribery in government jobs has been buried forever. He stressed that all future departmental recruitments will be conducted strictly on merit in line with the standards of the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC).
The chief minister revealed that, for the first time in the province’s history, a completely paperless and online recruitment process was carried out for the posts of sub-accountant in the Finance Department. Online tests, interviews, announcement of results and distribution of appointment letters were completed within a single day through a digital system.
He also announced that a digital recruitment system will be introduced at divisional and district levels to ensure transparency and make the process more people-friendly. The use of computers, tablets and modern technology, he said, will allow young people to shape their future through hard work and merit rather than influence.
Reiterating his resolve, the chief minister said, “Sarfaraz will never cheat. I will fulfill the promises made to the people at all costs. Jobs will not be sold in Balochistan.”
Mir Sarfaraz Bugti also announced plans to reconstitute and fully digitise the Balochistan Public Service Commission to further strengthen transparency and accountability in public sector hiring.
He described the digital, transparency-based recruitment system as a major step toward restoring public trust and ensuring a strong and dignified future for Balochistan. The chief minister added that his government’s good governance model is steering the province away from corruption and placing it firmly on the path of development.
