Balochistan declares health emergency to control spread of Congo Virus

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has taken a proactive step by declaring a health emergency throughout the province to curb the spread of the Congo virus.

Under the leadership of Balochistan Caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, a meeting was convened in Quetta on Monday, during which this decision was officially announced.

As part of the preventive measures, a two-week ban on private abattoirs in densely populated areas was mandated during the meeting. Authorities in charge were given clear directives to enforce all necessary precautions to combat the Congo virus. INP
