Bangladesh rise in ICC Test rankings as Pakistan slip after series defeat

ISLAMABAD: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released updated Test team rankings following Bangladesh’s series victory over Pakistan, with Bangladesh moving up two places while Pakistan slipped down the table.

Bangladesh climbed to seventh position in the latest ICC Test rankings after their strong performance against Pakistan, while Pakistan dropped two spots to eighth.

Litton Das was named Player of the Match after playing a key role in Bangladesh’s victory during the recently concluded Test series.

The rankings update follows Bangladesh’s growing success in Test cricket, including consecutive series wins over Pakistan, while Pakistan continue to struggle for consistency in the longer format.

Australia remain at the top of the ICC Men’s Test team rankings, followed by South Africa, India and England.

Pakistan’s recent decline in the rankings comes amid mounting scrutiny over the team’s performances after defeats against Bangladesh in the ongoing World Test Championship cycle.
