Bangladesh set 205-run target for Pakistan

WEB DESK: Bangladesh have set a 205-run target for Pakistan in the 31st match of the ICC World Cup 2023 being played at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Pakistan folded Bangladesh’s innings in 45.1 overs.
Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr secured three wickets each, while Haris Rauf claimed two wickets. Additionally, spinners Iftikhar Ahmed and Usama Mir contributed with one wicket each. The game began with Bangladesh winning the toss and choosing to bat at the Eden Gardens. Pakistan gained an early advantage as Shaheen Afridi achieved his 100th ODI wicket in the opening over. Afridi continued his success by taking another wicket, followed by Haris Rauf dismissing Mushfiqur Rahim. Despite a resilient partnership between Litton Das and Mahmudullah, which added 79 runs for the fourth wicket, Bangladesh faced consistent wicket losses afterwards.
