Barca vs Oviedo: Barcelona cruise past Oviedo with convincing 3–0 victory in La Liga

BARCELONA: The Barca vs Oviedo clash saw FC Barcelona securing a commanding 3–0 victory over Real Oviedo in their La Liga fixture, producing a dominant second-half performance to seal all three points.

After a goalless first half in the Barca vs Oviedo, Dani Olmo broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute, giving Barcelona the lead. Just five minutes later, Raphinha doubled the advantage with a well-taken finish in the 57th minute. Teenage sensation Lamine Yamal put the result beyond doubt, scoring the third goal in the 73rd minute.

Barcelona enjoyed overwhelming control throughout the Barcelona vs Oviedo match, registering 18 shots, with 7 on target, compared to Oviedo’s 10 shots and 4 on target. The home side dominated possession with 73 per cent, completing 622 passes at an impressive 90 per cent accuracy.

Oviedo struggled to cope with Barcelona’s tempo and pressing, managing only 27 per cent possession and 239 passes. The visitors committed 17 fouls and received two yellow cards, while Barcelona were booked once. No red cards were shown during the match.

Barcelona were also superior in attacking areas, earning 10 corner kicks, while Oviedo managed just one. Offside calls stood at three for Barcelona and five for Oviedo.

The victory strengthens Barcelona’s position near the top of the La Liga table, keeping pressure on league leaders Real Madrid, while Oviedo remains in the lower reaches of the standings as their struggles continue.
