Barrister Saif reaches Adiala Jail to meet Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Saif has reached Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi to meet PTI founder and former chairman Imran Khan.
A meeting has been scheduled today for Imran Khan to meet with his lawyers and sisters, sources said. However, Barrister Saif’s name is not included in the scheduled meeting. As per sources, it is a special meeting.
Barrister Saif is expected to discuss the protest movement and other political issues in detail with the incarcerated former prime minister. Barrister Saif will brief him founder on political issues and preparations for the protest movement, sources added.
The advisor is also likely to be given important responsibilities related to the upcoming Senate elections and the protest movement.
OMAR AYUB’S BAIL REJECTED
The interim bails of the National Assembly opposition leader Omar Ayub were rejected in more than 14 cases related to events of November 24 and 26. ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah heard the case.
The Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) rejected the interim bails due to the non-compliance of Omar Ayub and his counsel. The ATC has also issued an arrest warrant for Omar Ayub after the bail was rejected, issuing orders to arrest and present him in court.
He had filed interim bail applications in the said cases through his lawyer Dr Babar Awan. Omar Ayub was on interim bail in the 14 cases.
