WEB DESK: On Saturday, BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla dismissed claims that the Indian cricket team, known as the Men in Blue, would skip travelling to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy next year.

Previously, Indian media reports had suggested that the BCCI might not send its team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. There were also reports indicating that India might request the ICC to relocate its matches to a neutral venue.

“We do not know which source gave such information. BCCI has not put out any official information regarding this,” said Rajeev Shukla.

India has refrained from visiting Pakistan since 2008, with the last bilateral series between the two nations taking place in 2013. Subsequently, encounters between India and Pakistan have been limited to ICC tournaments and the Asia Cup.
