RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that he shows up outside Adiala jail every Tuesday, but unfortunately, he is not allowed to meet (the party founder).
He said that he is “begging for a meeting (with Imran Khan) to change the current political situation in the country. He said that 2025 has passed and now circumstances should improve.
Talking to the media on Rawalpindi Adiala Road, the PTI chairman said that the party’s call for a public movement is there but added that there should also be talks.
“Negotiations are not happening in accordance with what the situation demands,” he said.
Barrister Gohar said that he appeals to those in power to show magnanimity in light of the prevailing situation and have mercy on the children of this nation.
He said that the entire system has come to a halt for them; had it not stopped, they would not have been standing there every day. “Court orders are being issued under SOPs; a way should be found to improve the situation,” he added.
Barrister Gohar said that this year two sentences were handed down to the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi. He said in 2025, a ceasefire was reached with the enemy, but internal tensions in the country did not end.
The PTI chairman said that it is unfortunate that they are entering 2026 and it seems this year, too, will be a year of sentences.
