Besham attack: President Zardari visits Chinese embassy to offer his condolences

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday visited the Chinese embassy in Islamabad to offer his condolences on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan over the death of five Chinese nationals in a recent suicide attack in Besham, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a statement released by the President’s Secretariat, Zardari vehemently condemned the despicable act, extending unwavering support to the Chinese people during their period of mourning.
He said that the Pakistani nation deeply empathized with the sorrow of the Chinese people, affirming the solidarity of the people of Pakistan with their Chinese counterparts during this difficult time.
He reassured the Chinese ambassador that those responsible for the atrocious act would be apprehended and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

He said that every essential step would be taken to guarantee the safety and security of Chinese citizens engaged in diverse projects across Pakistan.
