While awards season headlines have largely centered on Jack Antonoff’s historic Grammy milestone, it’s his wife, Margaret Qualley, who is quietly reframing the conversation – not around trophies or controversy, but around love.
In a recent interview with Variety published February 12, the 31-year-old actress offered a rare glimpse into her marriage, describing Antonoff simply as “my person.” Known for guarding her private life, Qualley admitted she has always been driven by a search for deep connection.
“I’ve always been very love-oriented,” she said, reflecting on the path that led her to the Grammy-winning producer. “I’ve always been looking for my person, and I met Jack.”
Though initially hesitant to elaborate, Qualley later expanded in a follow-up statement that read more like a love letter to life itself. Alongside praise for her husband, she spoke warmly about her family, female friendships, dancing, horses and even the moon. She described “happy crying” as her favorite emotion and gave a heartfelt nod to her close friend Talia Ryder, calling female friendships “holy.” She also referred to her sister as her “first soulmate.”
The actress’ reflections arrive at a moment when Antonoff’s public profile is especially high. Just days earlier, he became only the fourth artist in Grammy history to complete the coveted “Big Four” – album, record, song of the year and best new artist – joining an elite group that includes Billie Eilish and Adele. His record of the year win at the Grammy Awards marked the final category needed to secure the achievement.
At the same ceremony, Antonoff also drew attention for wearing an “ICE Out” pin in solidarity with anti-ICE protests, though his red carpet explanation was widely criticised on social media as unclear.
Yet while public discourse swirls around politics and accolades, Qualley’s focus appears firmly rooted elsewhere – in personal devotion and everyday wonder. She spoke candidly about wanting to live on a farm someday, learning to drive stick shift and listening to spiritual teacher Tara Brach on audiobook. “I love you world, thank you for having me,” she added in a closing sentiment that underscored her reflective mood.
Qualley and Antonoff were first linked in 2021 and made their red carpet debut the following year before marrying in August 2023. Since then, they have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight.
If Antonoff’s recent weeks have been defined by industry recognition and public scrutiny, Qualley’s words suggest a different headline at home – one centered not on fame, but on finding the person you were always searching for.
