Bianca Censori named as potential witness in Kanye West trial

Bianca Censori and Kanye West

Bianca Censori has been named as a potential witness in an upcoming trial involving Kanye West, according to newly filed court documents.

Records show that Tony Saxon, a former employee who is suing West, has listed Censori as someone he intends to call to testify when proceedings begin. The trial is currently scheduled for February 21.

It is not yet clear what testimony Censori may be expected to provide or whether she will ultimately be required to take the stand. However, her name appearing in court filings suggests she could be drawn directly into the dispute as the case moves forward.

Lawsuit heads to trial

The case centres on claims made by Saxon, who says he was hired in September 2021 to oversee work at one of West’s properties.

In his complaint, Saxon alleges he worked extended hours while managing the project and handling additional responsibilities. He claims tensions escalated during the renovation process and that he raised safety concerns over certain instructions he was given.

According to the lawsuit, Saxon says he refused to carry out requests he believed posed risks and was subsequently dismissed. He is seeking unpaid wages and alleging labour code violations.

West denies wrongdoing

West has denied the allegations. In a November 2023 filing, his legal team argued that any damages Saxon claims to have suffered were not caused by West and should not result in liability.

The filing also asserts that some of the work referenced in the complaint was performed without West’s knowledge. His attorneys have asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit.

With the trial date approaching, attention is now turning to which witnesses may be called and how the proceedings will unfold in court.
