BISP to grant PKR2000 on birth of a boy, PKR2500 on that of a girl


ISLAMABAD: Federal minister for Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Shazia Atta Marri has revealed that the program is set to provide vital financial aid to 9 million underprivileged families across the nation.

She further disclosed that the budget for diverse ongoing projects under the BISP umbrella will be substantially increased, ensuring a more comprehensive and impactful approach towards poverty alleviation and social welfare.

She announced new incentives under the BISP initiative. A sum of Rs2,000 will now be granted upon the birth of a baby boy, whereas, an even higher amount of Rs2,500 will be provided upon the birth of a baby girl.

The PPP leader promised caregivers will receive assistance for a duration of six months after childbirth to ensure “nurturing and conducive environment for the child’s growth and well-being.”
