Blasts in Qatar, Abu Dhabi as Iran-Israel conflict escalates

Iran attack Doha

Reports of explosions in Qatar and Abu Dhabi have emerged amid rising tensions following Israeli and US strikes on Iran. The Qatari government issued nationwide warnings via mobile networks, instructing civilians to stay indoors and avoid sensitive areas. All civil aviation flights in Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE have been suspended. Alarms also sounded in Kuwait and Jordan as regional countries activated emergency measures to protect citizens.

The conflict began after Israel and the United States launched joint pre-emptive strikes on Iran. The Israeli military confirmed ongoing missile attacks on Iranian targets, while Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel. Tehran’s air defense systems were activated, and Iranian media reported explosions on Kharg Island and other locations. Israeli air defenses have been deployed to intercept incoming missiles. Sirens sounded across multiple areas in Israel as civilians were urged to seek shelter.

Iranian authorities have called for calm, urging citizens to exercise patience while condemning the attacks as violations of international law. Iranian officials accused the US and Israel of breaking trust during negotiations, while Russian officials described the strikes as revealing the “true face” of US President Donald Trump. Former Pakistani Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf expressed concern over Israel’s unprovoked attack on a neighboring country, warning of serious consequences from internal and external interference.
