Broiler chicken prices go up in Pakistan

LAHORE: A significant increase in the prices of broiler meat has been witnessed in most cities of the country.
In Lahore, the price of chicken meat per kilogram has increased by Rs32 in a single day, reaching Rs612, and the price of live chicken increased by Rs22, reaching Rs422.
However, the price of farm eggs remained stable at 273 rupees per dozen.
On the other hand, fruit and vegetable prices have also seen an increase, putting additional pressure on the common man already reeling under the rising inflation in the country.

In Lahore, onions are being sold at Rs200 per kilogram, Kachnar at Rs300 per kilogram, bell peppers at Rs400 per kilogram, apples at Rs250 per kilogram, melons at Rs200 per kilogram, strawberries at Rs300 per kilogram, and bananas at Rs200 per dozen.
Meanwhile, in Peshawar, following the high court’s notice, the prices of vegetables have started to decrease, but the rates of live chicken remained the same and have reached Rs450 per kilogram.
