Brooklyn Beckham appeared to signal where his loyalties lie this Christmas as tensions with his famous family continued to play out publicly.

The 26-year-old shared a photo on his Instagram Story on Christmas Eve showing him holding hands with his wife, Nicola Peltz, captioned “My everything x”. The understated post came amid mounting speculation about a growing rift between Brooklyn and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

A united front during the festive season

While other members of the Beckham family posted festive messages online, Brooklyn’s focus on his wife stood out. The timing fuelled fresh discussion about his relationship with his family, particularly as the feud has become increasingly visible over recent weeks.

Earlier in the week, Brooklyn also posted a TikTok video that many interpreted as cryptic. Set to Lady Gaga’s song Telephone, the clip featured lyrics about being unable to hear someone because he was “kinda busy”, prompting followers to speculate that it was directed at his family.

Social media fallout brings feud into the open

The situation escalated after reports surfaced claiming Brooklyn had blocked members of his family on social media. His younger brother, Cruz Beckham, later weighed in publicly, denying suggestions that their parents had unfollowed Brooklyn and instead claiming that they had discovered they were blocked.

Cruz’s comments appeared to contradict earlier reports and added another layer to an already confusing public narrative.

Sources quoted in British tabloids have since suggested that David and Victoria are deeply upset by the situation, particularly given its timing over Christmas.

A rift years in the making

Rumours of tension between Brooklyn and his family have circulated since his marriage to Nicola Peltz in 2022, with reports at the time pointing to strain between Peltz and Victoria Beckham. Both women have previously sought to downplay claims of ongoing conflict.

The divide appeared to widen earlier this year when Brooklyn and Nicola were notably absent from David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations. Their absence drew attention, especially as other family members attended.

Further questions were raised when Brooklyn and Nicola did not feature in Victoria Beckham’s recent Netflix documentary, despite the rest of the immediate family appearing.

According to reports, Brooklyn is currently focused on maintaining a calm, private life with his wife and is not prioritising reconciliation with his family. Even small online interactions, such as Victoria reportedly liking one of Brooklyn’s cooking posts, have been closely scrutinised by fans hoping for signs of a thaw.
