Brooklyn Beckham’s birthday highlights growing distance from famous parents

Brooklyn Beckham’s latest birthday has once again drawn attention to the reported distance between him and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

According to TMZ, the 27-year-old spent the day celebrating with his wife Nicola Peltz and close friends while remaining out of contact with his famous parents.

The outlet reported that Brooklyn has not spoken to either David or Victoria, even on his birthday.

Birthday tributes shared publicly

Despite the lack of direct contact, both David and Victoria marked the occasion on Instagram with heartfelt posts dedicated to their eldest son.

David shared a throwback photo of the pair smiling together in a swimming pool when Brooklyn was a child. In the caption, he used his son’s nickname “Bust” and wrote, “Love you x.”

Victoria also posted the same childhood photo alongside another image showing her playing with Brooklyn when he was a toddler, adding a message celebrating his birthday.

However, sources told TMZ that Brooklyn still has both of his parents blocked on social media, meaning he likely did not see their posts directly.

Family tensions reportedly continue

Sources familiar with the situation told the outlet that Brooklyn views the public tributes as performative, a sentiment he and Nicola Peltz have allegedly shared throughout the ongoing family dispute.

The Beckham family tensions have been widely speculated about since Brooklyn married Peltz in April 2022.

At the time, rumours circulated about a possible clash between Nicola and Victoria, though the family has rarely addressed the claims publicly.

Dispute resurfaced earlier this year

The situation appeared to escalate earlier this year when Brooklyn publicly criticised his parents in a January social media post.

In the post, he reportedly accused them of caring more about their public image than supporting his marriage.

Brooklyn also addressed long-standing rumours about his wedding reception, claiming Victoria interrupted his first dance with Nicola and began dancing with him in front of guests, which he said left him feeling uncomfortable and humiliated.

Despite David and Victoria’s public birthday messages, sources told TMZ that communication between Brooklyn and his parents remains at a standstill.
