BTS 2026 world tour: dates, cities, tickets and everything we know so far

BTS

BTS have officially announced the routing for their highly anticipated 2026 to 2027 world tour, marking their first full-scale global trek since reuniting as a complete group following the end of their mandatory military service.

The tour will span 34 cities across five continents, with 79 shows in total. It represents one of the most expansive tours of the group’s career and sets a new benchmark for South Korean artists touring internationally.

The announcement comes just weeks after BTS released their comeback single on March 20, 2026, ending a near three-year wait for fans to see all seven members perform together again.

How big is BTS’ 2026 tour?

By scale alone, this is shaping up to be one of the largest tours in modern pop.

Industry analysts say BTS could generate more than $1 billion from the tour, according to projections cited by Billboard. For comparison, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which ended in December 2024, grossed $2.077 billion across 149 shows.

BTS’ previous Love Yourself: Speak Yourself World Tour in 2019 grossed $196.4 million from 42 shows, averaging about $5.8 million per stadium date.

Their economic impact extends well beyond ticket sales. A 2018 Hyundai Research Institute report estimated BTS contributed around 5.56 trillion won, or about $4.65 billion, annually to South Korea’s economy.

When does the tour start?

The tour will open in Goyang, South Korea, with three shows on April 9 and April 11 to 12, 2026. These dates mark a symbolic homecoming for the group following the completion of their military service in 2025.

From there, BTS will travel to Tokyo for shows on April 17 and 18 before beginning the North American leg of the tour.

North America dates

North America is the tour’s largest regional leg, with 12 cities and 28 shows scheduled between late April and early September.

The US and Mexico dates include:

BTS will also return to South Korea for two shows in Busan on June 12 and 13 before resuming their international dates.

The European leg will run through June and July 2026, with five confirmed cities:

Madrid, June 26 to 27
Brussels, July 1 to 2
London, July 6 to 7
Munich, July 11 to 12
Paris, July 17 to 18

These will be BTS’ first full-group European stadium shows since before their hiatus.

Latin America dates

BTS will play five Latin American countries, marking one of the most extensive K-pop tours ever staged in the region.

Bogotá, October 2 to 3
Lima, October 9 to 10
Santiago, October 16 to 17
Buenos Aires, October 23 to 24
São Paulo, October 28, October 30 to 31

Asia-Pacific and Australia dates

The Asia-Pacific leg will stretch from November 2026 into early 2027.

Kaohsiung, November 19, 21 to 22
Bangkok, December 3, 5 to 6

Australia will host two stops in February 2027:

Melbourne, February 12 to 13
Sydney, February 20 to 21

The tour will close in:

Hong Kong, March 4, 6 to 7
Manila, March 13 to 14

More cities are expected to be announced later in Japan, the Middle East and additional regions.

How will tickets work?

BTS will roll out a two-day ARMY Membership presale on January 22 and 23, followed by general ticket sales on January 24.

This system is designed to prioritise dedicated fans and manage demand, especially after widespread criticism of major ticketing platforms during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour sales in 2022.

No official pricing has been released yet. On previous BTS tours, ticket prices ranged from around $50 to several hundred dollars depending on seating and venue.

What makes this tour different?

The 2026 tour will feature a 360-degree in-the-round stage design, placing the stage at the centre of each venue with fans surrounding it on all sides.

The design is intended to create a more immersive experience and increase venue capacity. While similar setups have been used by artists such as Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, it remains relatively uncommon in K-pop touring.

With 79 shows across 34 cities, this is BTS’ most ambitious tour to date and the widest geographic reach of any South Korean act.

Why this comeback matters

For fans, known collectively as ARMY, this tour marks BTS’ first time back on the road as a complete seven-member group since 2022.

The group’s decision to announce such a large number of dates at once, rather than rolling them out gradually, suggests strong confidence in global demand and venue availability.

After years of waiting, the 2026 to 2027 world tour represents not just a comeback, but a statement of scale, ambition and renewed connection with their worldwide fanbase.
