Global K-pop phenomenon BTS have confirmed their long-awaited return to the stage with a live comeback performance set to stream globally on Netflix in March 2026.

Netflix announced on February 2 that it has partnered with HYBE to broadcast BTS’s first live group performance since 2022. The event will stream live and exclusively on March 21, 2026, marking the official start of the group’s next era.

The performance will take place at Gwanghwamun in Seoul and will also serve as the launch of BTS’s upcoming studio album, ARIRANG, as well as the opening moment of their new world tour.

BTS return after hiatus and military service

The announcement comes more than three years after BTS last performed together live in October 2022, when the group revealed plans to step back from group activities to focus on solo projects.

During that period, members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook completed their mandatory military service in South Korea, fuelling anticipation around when the group would reunite on stage.

The Netflix performance will mark BTS’s first full-group appearance since completing that chapter.

Netflix makes major push into live music

Netflix has steadily expanded its live programming in recent years, branching into sports, comedy and large-scale global broadcasts. The BTS comeback will represent the platform’s most ambitious live music event to date.

Alongside the concert, Netflix will release a companion documentary titled BTS: The Return on March 27, 2026, offering behind-the-scenes access to the group’s reunion and preparations for their comeback.

New album ‘ARIRANG’ and world tour plans

The live event will introduce BTS’s new album, ARIRANG, and act as the launchpad for a major world tour scheduled to run between 2026 and 2027.

The tour is expected to span 34 regions across Asia, North America, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, with 82 shows planned, making it one of the most extensive tours in the group’s history.

When and where to watch BTS live on Netflix

BTS will perform live from Seoul at 8pm KST on March 21. For international audiences, the stream will begin in the early hours, airing at 4am PST and 7am EST in the United States.

The live special is directed by Hamish Hamilton, with production by Done + Dusted. Executive producers include HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC.

With their reunion now officially confirmed, BTS’s Netflix comeback is shaping up to be one of the biggest global pop culture events of 2026, marking the start of a new chapter for the group and their worldwide fanbase.
