BTS star V makes history with two songs in Billboard Global 200’s top 10

SEOUL: Popular member of K-pop band BTS, Kim Taehyung, also known as V, has become the first Korean soloist to simultaneously debut two songs in the Top 10 of Billboard Global 200.

According to media reports, ahead of solo debut album Layover of BTS star V, two B-side tracks including Love Me Again and Rainy Days were released early. The strategic move offered the public a delightful sneak peek into his upcoming highly-anticipated album.

The accomplishment marked a unique milestone for BTS star V, positioning him as the first Korean solo artist to have two songs in the Top 10 of the Billboard Global 200 chart, excluding the US segment. Notably, Love Me Again claimed the sixth position, while Rainy Days secured the eighth spot.

The centerpiece of this musical venture, Layover, set to be released on September 8, takes the form of a visual album. It incorporates music videos for all five tracks, meticulously woven together to narrate a cohesive story when experienced in the order presented on the album.
