Campaign against SC judges: ’32 journalists among 110 people served notices’

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi on Sunday said that notices have been served on approximately 22 political leaders and workers, as well as 32 journalists, as a result of the inquiry into the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) tasked with investigating the malicious campaign on social media against Supreme Court judges.

Solangi stated that approximately 110 individuals have been served with notices following an investigation into 600 social media accounts.

Murtaza Solangi clarified that, so far, only notices have been issued under the law. He emphasized that no one has been harassed, nor has anyone been subjected to an FIR.

Earlier this month, The interior ministry formed JIT to probe the malicious campaign on social media against Supreme Court judges.

The campaign, disseminated through various platforms, aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the judges involved in recent decisions.
