Excise dept launches doorstep registration service for cars, bikes in Lahore

LAHORE: The Excise Department in Lahore has announced a convenient new service for car and motorcycle registration, allowing citizens to complete the process from the comfort of their homes.

Under this initiative, citizens can contact the helpline, and a representative from the Excise Department will visit their residence.

Director Excise, Muhammad Asif, shared that this doorstep service aims to streamline the registration process.

Once a citizen contacts the helpline, an Excise representative will promptly visit their home, ensuring vehicle registration within 24 hours.

In addition to the in-person service, citizens can conveniently complete the biometric verification and pay the challan amount online.

This efficient process enables individuals to receive the registered numbers for their cars and motorcycles within a few minutes of completing the necessary steps.

To kickstart this initiative, Director Excise Muhammad Asif mentioned that twelve motorcycles and one vehicle will be designated for service during the initial phase, providing citizens with a hassle-free registration experience.
