CDA internship

ISLAMABAD The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced a six-month ‘CDA Internship Programme-2024’ for fresh graduates, offering paid internships in various departments of the civic agency.

“The internship programme will start in June 2024, providing an opportunity for young graduates to gain experience and begin their professional careers in different fields,” an official in the CDA told APP.

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs40,000 during the six-month internship period in various CDA departments. Eligible candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree (4 years) in the last three years from a government-recognized institution in disciplines such as business administration/management, marketing, and computer sciences. Candidates awaiting results are ineligible for the internship programme.

Regarding the application procedure, only e-applications will be accepted. The forms can be accessed and filled out at [https://apps.cda.gov.pk/Jobs/Internship](https://apps.cda.gov.pk/Jobs/Internship). Incomplete applications will not be shortlisted. Applications submitted in person will not be entertained, and those lacking requisite information will not be shortlisted. For technical issues during application submission, contact: 051-9252959.

Applicants may apply online within 15 days from the date of the advertisement’s publication. No TA/DA will be provided to candidates. The selection process will prioritize applicants with consistently excellent academic records. The percentage marks obtained in SSC, HSSC, and bachelor’s or equivalent degrees will each be given a weightage of 30 marks out of a total of 90 marks, with 10 marks allocated for the interview.

The names of shortlisted candidates for the interview will be uploaded on the CDA website with detailed guidelines. For more information, visit [https://apps.cda.gov.pk/](https://apps.cda.gov.pk/).

The number of interns, their placement, duty assignments, and termination of internships will be at the discretion of the CDA. Interns may request termination of their internship with 15 days’ written notice, but in such cases, the internship completion certificate will not be awarded.

Students who served as interns under the ‘CDA Internship Programme-2023’ will not be eligible to apply. The internship is neither an offer of employment nor extendable, and it does not confer any right to future employment or regularization. Interns will only be entitled to the stipulated lump-sum stipend and will be governed by CDA rules regarding disciplinary matters and confidentiality.
