CDA announces to establish IT Park in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Islamabad has decided to establish Pakistan’s largest IT park. Approval has been given to develop a 3.3-acre IT park in Sector G-10.

According to the CDA, a plot has also been allocated for the IT park.

The authority has stated that the Islamabad IT park will be established under a public-private partnership. The park’s covered area will be 100,000 square feet, and it is expected to accommodate 5,000 to 6,000 freelance workers.

The CDA has stated that the IT park will allocate space for freelancers, startups, and software houses. The authority has also revealed that the IT park will have space designated for a library and showcasing IT products. Research centres, conference halls, and meeting rooms will also be allocated space in the IT park.

According to the CDA, all expenses for establishing Islamabad IT Park will be borne by private companies. After 15 years, the park will be fully transferred to the CDA’s possession. Private companies will be able to lease space in the park to set up IT offices.
