CDA imposes fuel cut for officers

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday, took a significant step by reducing the fuel benefits previously provided to its officers. This decision comes in response to the surge in petroleum product prices and mounting public criticism directed at government officials for their use of complimentary petrol and electricity privileges.
According to an official notification from the CDA, a 40 per cent reduction in fuel allowances has been enforced for the chairman and members of the CDA board, while other officers will experience a 30 per cent reduction.
As per the notification, the new allocation limits for officeholders are as follows:
The maximum monthly limit for chairman and members is now 400 and 300 liters, respectively.
Directors general are permitted 225 liters, while deputy directors general can access 200 liters per month.

Directors have an allowance of 175 liters, and deputy directors and assistant directors are authorized to use 150 liters per month.
