Champions trophy: ‘India’s participation in Pakistan hinges on govt approval’

NEW DELHI: The Vice-President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rajeev Shukla, stated on Monday that the decision to send a team to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy will rest with the federal government.

Shukla, in an interview with an Indian media outlet, mentioned that there is ample time for the Champions Trophy, and they will comply with the Indian government’s directives. The decision regarding team participation will be contingent upon government approval.

Champions Trophy 2025: all of India’s matches likely to be held in a single city

Earlier it was reported that The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering hosting all matches involving the Indian cricket team in a single city to reduce travel and enhance security measures for the Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled to be held in Pakistan.

According to Geo Super, various security measures are being considered for the Indian team in the proposed schedule of the ICC Champions Trophy.
