WEB DESK: The rising prices of new motorcycles in Pakistan have placed them beyond the financial reach of many individuals.
Presently, a new 70cc Chinese bike commands a price tag of up to Rs110,000, while Honda’s 70cc counterpart is priced at nearly Rs160,000.
This escalating cost has particularly impacted those with limited budgets, making it challenging for individuals, especially students, to purchase a motorcycle from their savings.
However, there are viable options in the used motorcycle market in Pakistan, catering to those operating on a budget of Rs30,000 or less.
Notable among these options is the Metro MR 70 model from 2012–2014, with prices ranging from Rs25,000 to Rs30,000, depending on the bike’s condition. Some sellers may quote higher prices based on the perceived value of the motorcycle.
Another affordable choice is the Road Prince RP 70, a 70cc bike with models from 2012 to 2015 available for purchase under Rs30,000, contingent on the bike’s condition.

Currently, Road Prince 70cc bikes from these model years are priced between Rs24,000 and Rs30,000.
In the online marketplace in Pakistan, there are instances of well-maintained Road Prince 70cc 2014 models priced as low as Rs28,000.
These options open up avenues for students to acquire motorcycles within their budget, either through their pocket money or by saving up, enabling them to use the motorcycles for their daily commute to colleges or universities.
