ISLAMABAD: ISLAMABAD: The Immigration & Passports Office has amended its rules to remove the requirement of having the address on the identity card match the city where the passport is applied for.

The change allows Pakistani citizens to obtain a passport from any city regardless of their residential permanent address on the CNIC.

The revised policy has been formally communicated to regional offices, which will now allow flexibility on jurisdictional boundaries for passport issuance.
