ISLAMABAD: An interesting moment unfolded in the courtroom today as Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa, questioned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, “Who are you?”
This exchange took place during the proceedings related to the withdrawal of PTI’s plea concerning their bat symbol.
Barrister Gohar Khan stated, “We want to withdraw the application,” prompting Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa to inquire about his identity.

“I am the counsel for the petitioner,” replied Barrister Gohar Khan to the Chief Justice.
Hamid Khan, appearing before the court, had previously claimed to be the lawyer, the CJP questioned.
“Our case is in Peshawar High Court,” Hamid Khan clarified to Chief Justice. When asked why he didn’t stand up, Hamid Khan admitted, “No, I am not a lawyer in this case.”
Chief Justice expressed concern, questioning, “If someone comes tomorrow and claims that we did not return the application, then what?”
He also inquired about Ali Zafar’s stance on the application withdrawal, to which Hamid Khan responded, “No, he doesn’t mind; he is currently in Peshawar High Court.”
Meanwhile talking to journalists outside the Supreme Court Barrister Gohar Khan Wednesday said the party has withdrawn its petition to secure the “bat” symbol from the Supreme Court with hopes of receiving a favourable verdict from the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on the matter.
“Today, our petition was fixed at the Supreme Court, but we have withdrawn it,” he said, adding that the decision from PHC will be issued in the party’s favour.
The PTI leader’s comments came during his conversation with journalists outside the apex court in Islamabad.
