Clavicular overdose: what went wrong in the livestream?

Clavicular

Controversial “looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular has sparked concern online after a livestream captured him appearing increasingly unwell, with reports later confirming a suspected overdose.

The 20-year-old, whose real name is Braden Peters, was streaming from Miami on April 14 alongside other influencers when viewers began noticing signs that something was wrong.

During the broadcast, Peters appeared disoriented, speaking with slurred speech and repeatedly saying he was “destroyed”, raising alarm among those watching.

What the livestream showed

Footage showed Peters moving between locations before later sitting at a bar, where his condition appeared to deteriorate.

At one point, fellow influencer Androgenic asked him about substances he may have taken, while Peters appeared increasingly unresponsive and struggled to stay alert.

Moments later, the livestream abruptly cut off.

It remains unclear what substances Peters may have consumed prior to the incident.

What happened next

According to Androgenic, the situation escalated within seconds after the stream ended.

“I hadn’t seen him in this state before and he went from speaking to being fairly unresponsive in mere seconds,” he wrote on social media.

He added that those present turned off the stream and rushed Peters to hospital.

The incident has drawn renewed scrutiny around Peters’ online persona and the “looksmaxxing” community he promotes, which centres on extreme efforts to enhance physical appearance.

Peters has previously faced criticism for encouraging risky behaviour and has been linked to controversial figures online. He was also arrested last month on battery charges, according to authorities.

Messages of concern have since spread across social media, as questions remain over what led up to the suspected overdose.
